This blog has been established for those of you who love and care about my brother, Dennis M. Rich. Dennis battled sarcoma for over two years. His strength and courage is truly inspiring. This is a piece of his story.
Dennis and me had so much fun on our wedding day. It was one big party and that's the way we wanted it. We were having to much fun and caught up in the whole day that we forget one minor detail. Well, it was a bigger detail actually. We got married in Lombardo's in East Boston and we forgot to remember to arrange a ride home at the end of the night. Dennis and me were a sight walking down the street in East Boston in my wedding dress and Dennis in his tux trying to get a taxi to bring us home. No one knew that we didn't have a ride home but one of my uncle's happened to be driving by and took us home. When we got back to our apartment. We called Ma and Dad Rich's house because alot of people went back there after our wedding to continue the party which Dennis and me couldn't because we were going on our honeymoon the next day and had a 6am flight. All I can say when Dennis told everyone what had happened to us. I could hear the laughter through the phone. That was typical of Dennis and me. We always had something to talk about or laugh about the next day and even years later. Even though we weren't to happy being stranded that night. We also had a memory to look back on to laugh about. Life was certainly NEVER boring when Dennis was here. I would welcome being stranded with Dennis again in a second. If only if life and death could be reversible. I miss you so much Dennis, Love Jodi oxox
