Turning in Donations

Hello Team Hungry For Life,

Originally I had told some of you to turn your sponsor sheets/check donations in on the day of the walk. In speaking with one of the coordinators, I found out the following information:

NSMC will tally the totals in a fundraising database after the walk, so it will take a few weeks to get our true team total. This is why it is extremely helpful if you mail in sponsor sheets before or after the walk. Turning them in on the day of the walk is extremely hectic.

Also, please try to complete an entire sponsor sheet (if you need one email bettslevine@metrocast.net), not just put one donation on them because they are very costly to produce.

If you have any questions at all, let me know. Remember it's never too late to join Team Hungry For Life!

Hello Team Hungry For Life,

I just wanted to let everyone know that we are included in the top 5 teams who have raised the most money thus far for the 2008 NSMC Cancer Walk. With the help of our team members, we have raised $2430.00!

That total is actually even less than our true number. I'm sure there are lots of you out there who have started collecting donations that haven't even been counted yet.

I believe these pictures were taken in 1987. My parents were away from the homestead (that's obvious), and we decided to have a little 'get together'. It seems like yesterday.....until I look and see how young everyone looks. Life goes by too quickly...

If you have not contacted Erin or myself yet as far as your t-shirt order, time is running out!

Again, you do not need to buy a team shirt but it would be great if you can. So far we have gotten orders for over 100 shirts. That means it will be hard not to notice our team. We’ll be walking proud for D. Rich!

If you’ve changed your mind and you’re not walking that day after all, that’s o.k. too. Just let me know.

We are ordering the shirts on Tuesday and we will not be ordering extras so please get back to me as soon as possible.
Remember, you do not need to be a team member to purchase a shirt.

LIVESTRONG Day

Today is LIVESTRONG Day, a day when more than 600 cancer awareness and fundraising events will take place all across the country.

Anyone can take part in LIVESTRONG Day. Here are some things you can do to join the fight against cancer:
Wear Yellow (or Blue) – Demonstrate your support for the cancer fight. Wear a LIVESTRONG bracelet (or your Hungry For Life bracelet) proudly.
Attend a LIVESTRONG Day event – From bake sales to bike rides, there's sure to be an event in a community near you.
Make a donation - Support efforts to unite and fight cancer through a donation to the Lance Armstrong Fund (or by supporting Team Hungry For Life at the NSMC Walk in June).

Today we can make a difference. Today let's stand united in the fight against cancer. Let's make cancer a national priority and conquer this disease.

Keep on passing on our team webpage as well. We are almost at our goal of $2500. Let's see if we can surpass it!

We will be ordering them on May 19th so orders should be placed by then. When you place your order payment/delivery details will be provided.
