Power of Friendship

This picture was taken in the hospital while Dennis was in ICU. This is a group of his friends from grad school and they either flew in or drove in from other parts of the country to support him. Dennis was so happy to see them. He has some great friends, that's for sure.

Katie,
I was overwhelmed to see the waiting room filled with all the guys that Tues & Wed. Dennis was thrilled to see them. They visited his room for the most part 2at a time and for a good day and a half they sat patiently in the ICU waiting room for Dennis to be awake to see them. At one point they all made it into his room together to show their support. They exhanged funny stories and teased each other like old times. Dennis told them how much he loved them and I know it really boosted his spirits. I did hear one the guys (not sure who) say that one thing was for sure - Dennis was still the best looking one out of the bunch!! He still had the best hair. If you are reading this...thanks for such a great show of love & support. Jane (Dennis' sister in law

I have to say all memories from the hospital are really hard to think about but, stuff like this made it bearable. Dennis had so many friends just waiting to say hello to him at all times, night and day. Local friends and friends who flew in to see him. I was so amazed at my brothers impact on so many people.
What a lucky man he was to have had so many good friends.

When I first met Dennis I was amazed at how many friends he had. I thought I had alot of friends till I met him. He had his friends that he grow-up with, work friends, friends through sports, his college friends, etc. He also managed to stay in touch with all of them which we all know that can be hard to do with a busy life. I met all of his friends from grad school and I know why Dennis stayed in-touch with them and remained friends. They our such a great group of guys that anyone would be so lucky to have as a friend. I know Dennis was touched and so happy for the visit. Dennis truly loved being a friend and loved all his friends. I will never forget all of you flying in or driving far to come and see Dennis.Thank you so much for the support, With love, Jodi

Hello to all. My computer has been down for a few weeks and I'm happy to say I'm back on line and trying to catch up on everything that I may have missed in the mean time. What beautiful pictures of Dennis and Jodie and his beautiful little girls. I think the picture of all of his college budies at the hospital was wonderful. What a bunch of great guys to take time out of their busy lives to fly or drive here when Dennis needed to see them most. I'm sure he must have been absolutely thrilled to see them all together like that. It also shows what a great friend Dennis must have been to them too. People do not go out of their way like that unless the friend is someone pretty darn special as Dennis was to all of his friends and family. Thank you to all of those special friends who came thru for Dennis when he needed you most. Auntie Theresa
