This blog has been established for those of you who love and care about my brother, Dennis M. Rich. Dennis battled sarcoma for over two years. His strength and courage is truly inspiring. This is a piece of his story.

As I have said Dennis and me use to call Elise,( Big heart Elise). All of our girls are the best but Elise has that easy going personality and huge heart just like Dennis. The girls are missing their daddy more and more as time is going by. The loss of his presence in our house is more painful and the girls don't really understand that their daddy isn't coming back. They know he is in heaven but if it's hard for most of us to accept or understand I couldn't possibly except them too. My heart breaks for my girls because this has been an extremely tragic loss for all of us but at least most of us had Dennis most of our lives and myself almost 11 yrs. Our girls have not and only have memories of the little time that they had with their daddy which I'm extremly thankful for. That's were my promise to Dennis continues we talk about Dennis all the time in our home and with family and friends and as painful as it is at times I will never stop. My girls deserve to know how GREAT their daddy was because we all did and Dennis also deserves to be remembered even as painful as it is at times. We talk about Dennis all the time the girls and me and sometimes I cry or laugh at the memories but the most important thing is Alana, Elise, & Mia always end with our talks about their daddy with a smile as they should and as Dennis would want them too. My goal as I know it would be Dennis' is that our girls are happy little girls and remain that way and turn into happy women. We love you so much Dennis and are missing you more and more each day. Jodi -You are a truly wonderful mother!!!! I always liked you from the first time I met you because of your nice personality. But, you have shown really why Dennis (a wonderful and loving person) chose you as his wife. You are so much like Dennis - how he loved life, always had a good time. Your girls are so lucky they have you for a mom. I admire you so much and know that I'm here if you ever need anything.
My heart breaks for all of you, I think of you and the girls every day. We miss Dennis so much and I cannot even imagine what the girls are going through day to day but, please stay strong and we are all here for you and the girls.
The girls picture's are so beautiful just like their mom and dad. Thank you for sharing them.
We all wished that there was something we could have done for Dennis, we all wished the girls could of had a lifetime with him and it's so unfair. Please let the girls know that we are cousins that love them very much and are here whenever you need us.
