This blog has been established for those of you who love and care about my brother, Dennis M. Rich. Dennis battled sarcoma for over two years. His strength and courage is truly inspiring. This is a piece of his story.
Someday Mia will realize just how special she is and was to her Daddy and all of us. This little girl brings so much happiness to so many people. I love you so much Mia!
I can't believe that the pictures lasted 5 full months given Dennis’ aversion to pictures (yes that is sarcasm). I think there are almost as many pictures of Dennis in my wedding album as there are of me. If you watch my wedding video everyone gives a 5 or 6 second congratulations and then there are Dennis and Jimmy performing a 2 minute skit to congratulate us.
Always the life of the party. It is nice to see “the best of” pictures; after all, he was THE BEST.
Mia has been such a bright light in all this sorrow. Dennis and me were so scared finding out that he had cancer and then even more scared knowing that I was 3 months pregnact with Mia. The world was so uncertain for us but Dennis would keep saying through his battle will be okay and things have to get better when the baby comes. Truly amazing ,Dennis was my support system and he was going through more mental and physical torture. He was right for a least a little while. He was feeling pretty good and seemed like the cancer was gone when baby Mia came. We got to enjoy her for a few months without thinking about the cancer for a little while. All of our girls have so much of Dennis in them. Mia is a little 2yr. old ball of energy and never stops talking. As I have said the last few months Dennis had with Mia he would say "How did she all of a sudden become the star of the show". I know how ,she's just like her daddy. Mia is just following Dennis lead. It's in her blood! We love you Dennis, Love Jodi &the girls oxox
