Team Hungry For Life

Is anyone out there interested in walking as a team, Team Hungry For Life, at the 2008 NSMC Cancer Walk? If you are interested, please let me know in the comment section below or by emailing me (bettslevine@metrocast.net).

The more the merrier! Let's get a huge group together to walk for Dennis and cancer research.

I remember that day in 2006, it was very cold and rainy. We all brought our small kids and had to quit the walk early on b/c of the weather. Dennis didn't quit though. He finished, along w/ Jodi, Jimmy and Kathy. I think it meant alot to see the support of so many people, people who cared about his fight and the fight of so many others.
It would be a great thing to walk in honor of him, in his memory. It saddens me that we will not be walking by his side, which is what I was so grateful for back in '06. I do know that he will be with us that day too though and proud that we are doing this again for him and for others like him. Proud because he is so loved and never forgotten for a minute.

If anyone out there would like to walk in Dennis' memory, please join us, even if you don't personally know my family but are touched by his story. The support from stangers on this site has been amazing and so comforting. Dennis would love for us all to come together. He was so special and we'd love to show him that he will live on~forever.

Katie, I will be in charge of T-shirts: Team Hungry For Life/He's Real. I'll give more details at a later date.

Hi Katie and Kelli:

I do not know Dennis, Jodi or any of you but somehow I was directed to Dennis' blog and was so touched by his story and the way his life inspired so many in such a short time. To me it is truly amazing. I have emailed Jodi on a couple of occasions but never left my name because I felt kind of funny not knowing any of you but being so touched by Dennis story/legacy. Anyway I just donated $50.00 to Team for Hungry for Life and would love to join the walk in June as a Hungry for Life team member. It is such a GREAT cause and it is about time we wipe out this dreadful disease. My family has been touched by this disease as I am sure a lot of people have and want to see this disease conquered for good.

You are truly an amazing family and as I have emailed to Jodi the world would be a much better place if we had more people like her and Dennis in it.

MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU. MAY YOU FIND MORE AND MORE PEACE EACH DAY KNOWING DENNIS IS IN HEAVEN WITH GOD LOOKING DOWN AND GUIDING ALL OF YOU. BEING SO PROUD OF HOW YOU ARE KEEPING HIS MEMORY ALIVE AS WELL AS BEING SUCH A CARING. LOVING AND AMAZING FAMILY.

You can count on the Pizzicone Family to join in the walk. I don't have a total yet for our group, but we'll all be there. I will be the official camera woman as I know I could never walk the 10 miles. But, I'm sure you'll want some great pictures of all the teams to add to this wonderful website, so that will be my contribution. Dennis would be so proud of all of you for all that you did, and for all that you do, and for all that you hope to do in future in his memory to help find a cure.
