Over the past couple of months my family lost my Uncle Dennis. He was 38 years old and had three little girls (my cousins) that were only two, five and eight. My uncle had been fighting cancer for about two years, and with the type he had, it was a blessing to have him that long. He originally started off with just heart cancer, and the doctors gave him little or no chance of beating it. He went through chemo therapy over and over again. Amazingly, the doctors reported my uncle had beaten the cancer, but when he went back for a check-up they found the cancer in his heart again and in his lungs as well. The news had devastated my family and all my uncle's friends, and believe me there was a lot of them. At his funeral, they said they have never seen so many people who came to one funeral. He was a great person. The kind of person people strive to be like. I loved my uncle very much, and miss him everyday, but I know he is watching over me right now.

Dennis,I miss you so much.I am so proud to be your sister and to have you as a role model for my kids.
Today is Valentine's Day. It's weird how such a silly holiday can cause so many sad thoughts today. Jodi, Alana, Elise and Mia, I am thinking about you all today and every day. I know Dennis is sending his love to all four of his girls today.
I love you guys!

Hi Colin,
Your Uncle Dennis is watching over you right now and I am sure you make him proud everyday. He is a great role model and I believe that if we all strive to be even just a small bit like him we would all be just that much better. You are a great kid and I could see just how much he meant to you. Stay strong and hold on to all the great memories of him you have. Love Jane (Auntie Jodi's sister)
Happy Valentine Day to Jodi, Alana, Elise and Mia.
I know your daddy is always sending his love, his love will be with you forever and ever.
We all love you girls and will do anything to help you. Dennis I want you to know I will always be there for your family.
We miss and love you Dennis.

Colin,
You know how much Uncle Dennis always LOVED you, from the moment he met you! He was ALWAYS so proud of you and your athletic abilities. If he had a son, I think he'd want one just like you.
Keep doing well in school and in sports. Uncle Dennis is watching and will always be so proud and will ALWAYS be cheering you on.
I love you!

As I was looking at the website today I saw a picture of my son Colin when he was little. I read again what he wrote about his Uncle Dennis, He has been asking me alot of questions about his uncle and what kind of kid he was when he was his age. I have shared some stories with him that I know and he always gets a laugh out of them. Since his uncles passing I have seen Colin being a better brother to his 3 sisters & younger brother. I can only Hope that my children love each other as much as Dennis was loved by his brother and sisters. Always thinking of ya brother. Love Ya
Miss ya,
Billy
