Saying Goodbye

How do you say goodbye to someone you love so much,
How do you say anything when your heart is so crushed?
The loss of a loved one hurts no matter what their age,
But the thought of losing you sends our hearts to a hurtful rage.
From a boy to a man you were so filled with life,
From the day you were born 'til the day you passed you always gave your very best fight.
As a son you always made your parents so proud,
As a friend to many your smile always lit up the crowd.
As a husband and father there were no limits on what you would do,
As a brother, an uncle, and a cousin too you always stood out through and through.
Our family values have always kept us close,
We always shared everything-- love being the most.
We're told time and time not to question God's way,
But losing someone so wonderful as you, the word "why" is all we can say.
If there is a heaven where flowers always grow,
You are no ordinary flower you're the perfect rose.
Representing true friendship and love you always did,
Lending a helping hand you always did give.
There are not enough words to explain how much you'll be missed,
But take with you a nice warm hug and our gentle kiss.
Please don't think you ever went alone,
A part of us went with you that day God called you home.
