It is in our blood, we can't help it. When we hear "WE Are Family" our family, especially our aunts come out from the woodwork!haha! It doesn't matter who you are talking to or where you are certain songs can draw us out to the dance floor all at once! We have had so many fun weddings and Dennis would usually end up in the center of a circle along with Jodi, who might I mention is quite the dancer. They always made any event fun! Mary
Dennis was quite the dancer. He would say at a party or function. I'm only dancing for you. I think he might of liked to dance just as much as me. I will never forget even in the hospital. When he was writing alot he was kind of asking one of the nurses' what's my prognose's. The nurse said well what to you think or how do you feel? I will never forget he looked at the both of us and shrugged his shoulders and wrote I wanna dance. I hope he is dancing in heaven. When we meet again what a dance it will be. I love you Dennis-Jodi oxox
I want you to know that your Daddy had a fearlessness about him that lit up a room. This quality made him very unique because most people live their lives afraid to be their true selves, afraid for others to see that side of them. He always had fun, he never hesitated to dance in the middle of a circle, he never cared what anyone thought. Often times this resulted in making many, many people smile and laugh. If you wanted a good time, Dennis was your man. He always put himself out there and wasn't afraid to let loose and be the life of the party. That's why everyone loved your Daddy so much. What you saw was what you got. Just a guy, living life and enjoying it to the max. I hope you girls remember that as you get older. Be yourself and have a good time doing so!
Jodi, That is my all-time favorite memory of the time that was spent at the end in the hospital. As gut-wrenching as that statement is, "I wanna dance", it was who Dennis was. I could laugh and cry at the same time just thinking about when he wrote that down. At least there are memories like that. Knowing what I know now and knowing how it ended, I am happy that at least there are bits and pieces, moments that we can still smile about.
I love you Dennis. Not too many guys are blessed with the quality of being a good dancer, but you were! You will always be remembered for that.
What a dancing couple! I will never forget Jodi and Dennis on the night of my wedding. I remember checking the time and it was not even 7:30 and as I looked up Dennis already had Jodi up on his shoulders dancing! I knew then the night would be a blast! It was non stop dancing for those two! Janie too! I can remember laughing when the video came and we watched it. It should have been called Dennis and Jodi’s Dance Party! It’s great! I couldn’t imagine what the night would have been without them!
