I am sure all of you have seen the movie Dirty Dancing. I think these pictures were taken on Christmas eve many years ago. For some reason, Dennis and Jimmy thought it would be funny (and it was) to reenact the famous lift scene-- only to find that it would be much easier to lift someone who didn't weigh as much as Jimmy. That's when Jodi and Erin got their chance. I really love these pictures. Although they might seem a little strange to someone who doesn't know my family, they really capture the kind of fun we always have. I also love Dennis' expression in these pictures. I can hear his laughter right now-- I really can. We all miss him so much.

Katie,
Great story- great pictures that you have to capture what was probably a hysterical moment. I am going to search through my mothers pictures in New Hampshire because one weekend we were all up there and Kristina was showing Uncle Dennis some cheerleading moves she did in her routine and Dennis grabbed Alana and Elise and placed them on each shoulder practically and created a lift call the "Dragon Fly". The girls went crazy- Daddy Daddy lift me- lift me they yelled. He wanted to patten it and sell it to the cheerleading gyms! He ofcourse made up some crazy cheerleading chant to go with it and we all cracked up with laughter. I know the pictures are out there...now I have to find them!
#1 Dad and Cheerleader..Dennis we love you.........Janie
Great pictures, Katie!! You guys are so funny!! I was always so envious of your BIG family because mine was so small. It was always so much fun at your parent's house. Love you all!! Miss you Dennis!!
Debbie,
These picture's bring a smile to my face. That was our 1st christmas together and that christmas we got engaged. I was extremely happy. I remember saying to myself is this real. I'm about to marry a guy you dream about and start a life together. And he had a big awesome family, too. It seemed to good to be true. It wasn't though. Those picture's of us trying to do the dirty dancing lift is the kind of crazy funny stuff we do on a regular Sunday. Dennis and I and the girls have had more fun just hanging out on Sundays with everyone. I wish we were still trying to do the lift again with Dennis. I think this time I would get it right. I love you Dennis Jodi xoxo
I Love the pictures and the stories. Dennis I love and miss you! Auntie Paula
I wanted to write about "the lift" but, I thought it might be too embarrassing!haha! Dennis and Jimmy did this on more than one occassion, I think they were always trying to perfect it!
