This blog has been established for those of you who love and care about my brother, Dennis M. Rich. Dennis battled sarcoma for over two years. His strength and courage is truly inspiring. This is a piece of his story.
These pictures were from a joint 60th birthday party we had for my parents. Dennis was always the life of our family parties, always making funny faces, always making us all laugh. In the last pic, I love Elise looking up at her Daddy. She thought he was very funny too. I still look at that second picture and laugh. So Dennis. Doing something to make you smile.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these pictures. I remember being so glad to see him that day and he looked so good. It was a great party, he tried all the crazy foods at the Chinese Buffet and wanted us all to join in on the fun. Not a chance, but we all had fun watching him eat his frog legs.
Dennis was always the life of the party.A party will never be the same without him. As mad as I could get at Dennis he could always get me to laugh. That's one of the things I miss most about Dennis. I wish he was here to make me laugh. I could sure us it! What more can I say he just got me. He was truly my soulmate. Always will be! Love you Dennis! Jodi
The picture of Dennis with the 2 birthday hats on his head is the same funny face that Elise makes! She may be the lightest of the 3 girls but wow she really resembles her daddy. One of my most favorite "Dennis" qualities was his humor. There is nothing like a good laugh and there were always so many with Den around. I could sure use alittle laughter right about now. I miss you Dennis- Love Janie
I just came home from my christmas party. Was a good time, but was not the same without my #1 man there. Dennis taught me that you can have a good time anywhere. He taught me fun is not gonna come to you. You need to make your on good time. That he did. I sure do miss coming home from a party without Dennis. I think half the reason Dennis and me ended up together is because we just loved a good time and a party. Now I will long for the next time we meet again. What a party it will be!!!! I love you Dennis!!!Jodioxoxox
I believe that the next time you meet He will throw you the best party you could ever imagine! When I used to see him at Eutaw st or on job sites he always kept me up on his girls telling me cute stories I wish I could remember the stories but what I do remember is the huge smile on his face when ever he talked about them or Jodi. It was evident that he loved them so much. You were always special to him. He often talked about the girls and Jodi, he used to joke that you were the female version of him which I truly believe, you were always at his side mostly laughing and smiling and truly enjoying life. I hope and pray that you will be able to be happy without so much pain! I admire you and respect you so much! I Love You, Auntie Paula
