I want to thank Uncle Jimmy for being such a great uncle to Dennis and Jimmy. The very first time I met Uncle Jimmy was when Dennis had his open heart surgery and we all got the devastating news of his cancer. I remember how he- without knowing it was able to bring some sense of comic relief to the situation. Thru some of Jodi's toughest days- talking to Uncle Jimmy would make her smile. His love for Dennis during his last two weeks at MGH was incredible. He slept with him in ICU and was so caring to him. Dennis was so happy that he was there. It is such a gift to have an uncle like that. Uncle Jimmy your the best!!
I'll never forget coming in to the hospital one morning and hearing that Uncle Jimmy spent the night in the family waiting room. It wasn't a couch or a cot, it was a seat made for two. It would be small for a child to sleep on. Uncle Jimmy, we know how much you loved Dennis. We all love you and will always remember that!
