I love seeing all these pictures. The one w/ Ma in the glasses really got me. Dennis always brought out that side in her. She was always so happy when he was around, always having a good time. Times are so different w/out him. I miss him so much.
Dennis was exactly what you think of when you hear first born son. He was really the apple of Ma's eye. We have often teased Ma that he was her favorite. How could he not have been? There is a saying a daughter is a daughter for the rest of your life but a son is a son until he finds a wife. Not Dennis! He was always at Ma's with Jodi and the girls, probably more than anyone else. He stayed close to her and they loved each other unconditionally. Dad had a respect for him, not as his child but as a man. I think everyone wants their parents approval and Dennis got that from Dad. I think not only did we all love him but, we respected him. I miss you Dennis, you have been and still are a role model for all of us. I am learning so much more about you that I never knew, stories that are inspiring me to want to be a better person. I love you. Love, Mary
The pictures bring back so many memories! Always happy ones! I think the pic of your mom with the glasses on makes her look like Nana. I remember how much Dennis loved to make people happy, always the bright light at every function. I think he handle his sickness the same way he handled life Always looking on the bright side. Something that I will try to do myself.Love, Auntie Paula
Mary, All the things that you have said about Dennis and your parents was so right. He adored his parents so much. He was always thinking of them and worrying about how they were doing when he wasn't feeling so well himself. That was Dennis always worrying about everyone else. One of the biggest reasons I fell so in love with Dennis was the way he was with your Mom and Dad and with all of you, too. I knew that he would make a wonderful husband and father. It did also help that he was so handsome, incredibly smart,& great personality. He was truly the Best!! I miss him so much!! Love you, Jodi
