Brother of a Lifetime

It was Jimmy's and my junior year of high school, and we were in the gym during a basketball game wrestling (Jimmy was my quarterback and I was his offensive lineman). Anyway, we are fooling around and all of a sudden I get pounced on from behind. I turn around and look and there is Dennis, fists clenched. He says, "You fight my brother, you fight me." Me and Jimmy look at him like he is crazy and start laughing. Dennis apologizes about 100 times and for about a month we all call him "Brother of the Year".
Dennis was the greatest and after reading Jimmy's post (eulogy), I will now think of him as "Brother of a Lifetime". I am also sure he was every bit the father and husband that he was the brother.

I love this story! I hope my boys will stand up for each other like my brothers always did. This is one post I will always remember, thanks Bill!
