Forever

by Cassidy Rich

The mist danced around the flowers,

bright and sprightly,

contrasting the cries

of suffering and pain.

The morning sun shined,

casting rays down

striping the tear-stricken faces

like a child,

innocent and ignorant,

playing taunting games.

Every buzzing bee,

shunned.

Every happy sound,

ignored.

Nature could do nothing

to mend the broken hearts

as the casket entered the earth

and you were gone

forever.

Beautiful poem Cassidy!

I read it and then re-read it and was impressed by your abilities.

It is wonderful. I really think it told exactly how we all felt that day.

Cassidy,
What a beautiful poem you wrote about your Uncle Dennis. It is very clear to see that you are a very bright girl. I hope that you are doing ok because it has to be really hard at your young age to deal with such a tragic loss. I hope the love & closeness of your family and some really good friends can help get you through.
Love,
Jane
